Job Description We’re on the lookout for a Finance Controller to join our Cotton platform in Toowoomba, QLD. Partnering closely with the Senior Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of management accounting, budgeting & forecasting, fixed assets, stock control, and finance systems. This is your chance to combine technical excellence with commercial insight — helping shape decisions that matter in one of Australia’s most important industries. Key responsibilities will be but not limited to: Deliver accurate and timely monthly management financials to support the Senior Industry Controller. Manage accounting impacts from industry asset procurement/divestment, including Fixed Asset Register, depreciation schedules, and consolidation tool updates. Provide insightful analysis of P&L, volumes, revenue, and production cost drivers for internal stakeholders. Manage all industry-related queries during annual audits. Prepare and review the annual budget in collaboration with the Financial Controller for Ginning, Warehousing, and Industry Corporate business units. Support monthly forecasts, tracking volumes and KPIs for management and executive reporting. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register ensuring full reconciliation with the general ledger. Support analysis of capex applications, ensuring accurate return estimates. Prepare and distribute monthly Capex reports and quarterly fixed asset registers for tax-effective accounting. Oversee the integrity of finance-related data within Cotton front office and operating systems. Provide project support for system development initiatives and business-as-usual finance processes.
