Job Description Summary The Service Site Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm in NSW. This leadership role manages a team of wind technicians and technical contractors, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The manager is responsible for optimizing turbine performance and availability while serving as the key point of contact between corporate operations, the customer, contractors, and local stakeholders. The role is to be based at the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm NSW. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Oversee daily wind farm operations, including planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting and inspections Monitor turbine performance metrics and work to maximize uptime and energy production Coordinate with the remote operations center and ensure timely response to alarms and turbine faults Team & Personnel Management: Supervise, schedule, and support a team of wind technicians and support personnel Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company and regulatory HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards Conduct safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations Enforce safety protocols for all site personnel and contractors Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary site contact for landowners, customers, vendors, and local authorities Coordinate with engineering, asset management, and project teams for upgrades, retrofits, or special projects Administrative & Financial Management: Manage site budgets, procurement, and inventory of parts and tools Maintain accurate records and deliver regular reports on site performance, maintenance, and safety Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant service experience Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Customer Service Management Minimum of 3 years' experience in customer service or site management A background in management of Mechanical or Electrical projects Experience in overall wind farm operations and maintenance is preferred Strong business and financial acumen, including profit and loss management and reporting Desired Characteristics Strong safety-first mindset with a commitment to HSE standards Effective communicator with strong oral and written communication skills Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously Proven leadership and team management abilities Ability to influence stakeholders and drive performance across teams Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills As GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.
