Digital Canberra’s Design and Strategy Branch is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to help lead architectural solution design across a complex ICT environment which is focused on enabling whole of government outcomes. As part of the broader group of Architects, the Senior Solution Architect is required to provide technical leadership and guidance, translate business requirements from different stakeholders into solution options whilst maintaining the integrity of business-critical systems, and then proactively drive/guide the agreed deliverables of the end-to-end solution. The position is involved in driving architectural best practices, presenting proposed solutions within the group and providing review and endorsement of proposed solutions, patterns and templates. The position will understand and apply the strategic directions of government where it relates to digital and ICT. Someone who enjoys handling complex issues to deliver business outcomes with the ability to find the middle ground will excel in this role. Eligibility/Other requirements: A minimum of five years experience in architecture (including design and consulting) across multiple domains and technologies would be highly regarded. This role requires you to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 security clearance, which will be sponsored by the Digital Canberra Directorate. In order to be eligible for an NV1 security clearance, you must be an Australian citizen. This position will be under the ACT Government’s hybrid working arrangements, including home-based work and office space designed for activity-based work (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
