Ability Works is an award-winning social enterprise, based in Kew. We are seeking a passionate, values-driven and outcomes-focused leader to spearhead the setup of our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program and deliver impactful employment outcomes for people with disability. Ability Works has secured a specialist IEA (Intellectual Disability) contract, a new format program replacing DES, to help more people with disability find and maintain sustainable employment. This role is ideal for someone with senior experience in DES employment programs. The Contract Manager, IEA is a senior leadership role responsible for the implementation and operational delivery of the IEA program. This role will ensure a high-performing, participant-centred service model that supports people with intellectual disability, to prepare for, secure, and sustain meaningful employment. The IEA Contract Manager, working closely with our Group Manager - Employment Services, will oversee service planning, compliance, stakeholder engagement, quality assurance, performance management, and workforce development, ensuring the program meets contractual, legislative, and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities Lead program implementation, as we launch our new service from 1st Nov 2025 Develop our blended model of Customised Employment in collaboration with our CE team Drive success in line with IEA’s Performance Framework Build workforce capability Lead compliance and quality assurance, ensuring adherence to legislation, deed obligations, audits, and relevant standards Foster key stakeholder engagement and partnerships with DSS, Disability Employment Centre of Excellence (Centre of Excellence), employers, social services, and sector partners Manage a small caseload of your own Mandatory Requirements Significant experience in the disability employment sector (including a minimum of 5 years in leadership/management roles) Deep understanding of the DES/IEA framework and person-centred models of employment Strong record in contract performance and outcome-based delivery, compliance with legislation and policy Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to manage through the complexity that our guiding principle of “meeting our social mission is as important as being commercial” brings.
