GETTING A FLYING START As our People and Culture Manager – Oceania, you will serve as a strategic business partner to the Oceania leadership team while leading all aspects of the HR function across Australia and New Zealand. From organisational design to performance management, recruitment, industrial relations, and change leadership, you’ll develop and deploy HR strategies that empower teams, embed our values, and support high performance across our manufacturing and corporate environments.You will also adapt and implement Nexans’ global HR strategy and programs locally, ensuring alignment with business needs, compliance with legislation, and reinforcement of our company culture. HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT Lead and coordinate the HR function across Australia and New Zealand, building people strategies aligned with business objectivesAct as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Team, ensuring HR is a driver of performance and transformationShape and deploy recruitment, onboarding, and talent development strategies that attract and grow great peopleOversee performance management, compensation practices, succession planning, and workforce planning activitiesManage key industrial relations processes, including union engagement and labour agreementsEmbed our desired organisational culture, ethics, diversity, and safety practices at every levelLead change initiatives and support transformation with clear communication and proactive planningEnsure compliance with local employment legislation and group policiesRepresent Nexans Oceania within the global HR community, sharing feedback and enriching group processes. YOUR STARTING POINTS WHEN YOU JOIN A degree or higher qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related disciplineMinimum 10 years’ experience in HR, with strong leadership exposure and proven business partnering experienceExperience in a manufacturing and unionized environment, ideally in a small to medium-sized organisationDemonstrated capability in leading transformation, organisational design, and change managementPayroll oversight experience and strong understanding of employment law and industrial relations in Australia and New ZealandAbility to influence and engage senior stakeholders while building trust across all levels of the organisationStrong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsIntegrity, resilience, and a proactive, people-focused mindsetA strong alignment with Nexans' values and belief in our sustainable future.
