About Women 4 STEM Women for STEM was founded in 2005 and is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering young girls and women to pursue careers in STEM by providing resources, mentorship, and career opportunities. We host 5 programs and over 40 events each year, such as Go Girl, Go for IT, Whats Hot in Tech, and the Grad Girls Program to inspire young minds and foster diversity in STEM. About the Grad Girls Program The Grad Girls Program is a flagship initiative of Women 4 STEM, designed to inspire and empower female students to explore careers in STEM. The program features engaging workshops, interactive careers expo, panel discussions, and webinars, culminating in impactful events. Across the 9-month Program, participants connect with STEM professionals, gain hands-on experience, and envision themselves in STEM careers Role Overview The Partner Events Support role assists the Partner Events Coordinator in working with organisations that deliver approx. 10 Grad Girls Partner events. Youll help prepare logistics, communicate with volunteers, and provide hands-on support before and during events. This is an excellent opportunity for young professionals in Events, Hospitality, Project Management, or Logistics to gain practical experience, expand their networks, and contribute to diversity in STEM. Volunteers receive hands-on exposure, mentoring, and perks such as discounted tickets to Women 4 STEM events. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the Partner Events Coordinator in liaising with Partner organisations to help prepare for their events Support the Partner Events Coordinator in developing the event logistics, including run sheets, participant RSVP lists, audience engagement tooling, accessibility and dietary requirements, dry runs, and bump in/out activities Assist with the coordination of On-The-Day Volunteers, Photographers, and Videographers on event day Provide on-the-ground support during events, including registration desk, ushering participants and troubleshooting issues Assist in collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders Contribute to post-event debriefs and reporting by sharing observations and recommendations Who are we looking for? Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Attention to detail, with a commitment to high-quality event delivery Good communication and teamwork skills Reliable, enthusiastic, proactive and willing to pitch in when needed Confident with Zoom and Teams; Google Meet experience a bonus Experience with Slack is an advantage (not essential) A passion for gender equality and supporting diversity in STEM education What is the commitment?
