After a recent organisation restructure and realignment, the Anglican Diocesan Services is looking to appoint a Payroll Manager to oversee the provision of payroll services to a multitude of diocesan agencies. About Anglican Diocesan Services Overview Anglican Diocesan Services (ADS) is the principal provider of corporate services to the ministry units and agencies of the Anglican Diocese of Canberra-Goulburn and acts the employing entity for the unincorporated associations of the Diocese. ADS provides comprehensive services in the areas of human resources, finance, IT, property management and risk and compliance with the following objectives: Provide for missional alignment across the Diocese Provide Diocesan-wide consistency and standardisation within the areas of ADS while acknowledging the uniqueness and complexity of individual agencies and the services they provide to the community Enable a process of continuous improvement in the provision of service standards, ensuring efficiencies across the agencies are maximised leading to reductions in overall infrastructure costs About the Role This exciting opportunity will see the successful applicant leading a team responsible for the provision of payroll services at the Anglican Diocesan Services and the agencies we serve. The Payroll Manager will: Lead the Payroll Team and related operations Ensure all payroll activities are executed in accordance with policy, procedure, legislative, regulatory and award requirements (including tax, super etc) Ensure all payroll processes are timely and accurate Work towards improving systems and processes that have an employee self-service approach at their core Develop dependable and timely workflows and communication with the People and Culture team About You You will have significant experience gained across complex payroll environments that include large numbers of employees and multiple trading entities You will have demonstrable team leadership experience Be experienced in relevant subject matters such as salary packaging, FBT, superannuation, leave, PAYG etc. A demonstrable track record of implementing processes and initiatives that the role is responsible for overseeing A demonstrated understanding of relevant Australian industrial legislation A proven acumen for detail A commitment to quality communication and taking initiative Organisational Ethos As a Christian organisation, Anglican Diocesan Services' mission statement is to: "be a servant hearted and effective corporate body, which, enables and ensures an enduring Christian presence in the community".
