Learn more: www.wearthy.co The Role We’re looking for an experienced Landscaper with a love for horticulture and planting to help bring our playscapes to life. This role is about more than building landscapes—it’s about shaping environments where children play, learn, and grow. As a landscaper with us you’ll work across both softscapes (the living, green elements) and hardscapes (the built, structural features). At Wearthy, this includes: Softscapes for Playscapes : soil preparation, turfing, planting sensory gardens, mulching, and establishing shade trees that encourage nature play. Hardscapes for Playscapes : constructing sandpits, edging, retaining walls, decking and pergolas, pathways, natural climbing features, timber log steppers, and integrating stone and water play elements. Every project you build will directly contribute to the ecology of play—helping children connect with nature, take risks safely, and develop resilience through outdoor learning. This is a full-time role worked across 4 days (Fridays off) , giving you balance, breathing space, and energy to bring your best to work and life. Key Responsibilities Deliver softscape works: soil prep, turfing, planting, mulching, sensory gardens Install, test, and maintain irrigation systems Build small hardscape features: edging, retaining, decking/pergolas, sandpits, paving, concreting Work with natural materials (timber, stone, logs, boulders) to create child-friendly play zones Read plans/set-outs, check levels and quality against specifications Maintain tidy, safe sites and document progress (photos/notes) Collaborate with the Wearthy team, subcontractors, and clients Ideally You Have Cert III in Landscape Construction or related qualification 2 years’ landscaping experience Strong skills across soft and hardscape A genuine passion for horticulture, planting, and child-focused design Current manual driver’s licence and willingness to travel Blue Card (working with children check) or ability to obtain Ability to obtain a National Police Check (mandatory) Bonus tickets: skid steer/excavator, MR licence, EWP, Chainsaw L1, First Aid Why Join Wearthy? 4-day work week (full-time) – enjoy long weekends, every week A supportive, caring culture where people come first Projects that directly shape children’s play and learning Safe systems of work, consistent pipeline across SEQ, and opportunities to grow Be part of a company that cares deeply about you, your wellbeing, and the impact of your work How to Apply Click Apply and submit your resume (a short project list or photos of past builds are welcome).
