Hold a high-level knowledge and experience in contemporary strategic human resources including conduct, performance and grievances, and industrial relations matters Have demonstrated a record of achievement in leading an Ethical Standards or similar functional area. Your contribution and key responsibilities: Provide professional, authoritative, and timely strategic advice to the Chief HR Officer, Director-General, Deputy Directors-General, and other senior management on issues of a sensitive and complex nature pertaining to instances of misconduct and corrupt conduct within the department. Utilise contemporary, best practice investigative methodologies to lead and manage the conduct of timely and reliable investigations in relation to complex and sensitive workplace conduct matters. Build, influence and sustain partnerships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders including: the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) and perform the duties of the department's CCC Liaison Officer. the Queensland Ombudsman to ensure that the department has an effective management program in place for public interest disclosures and satisfies all legislative requirements under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 as the department's PID -Coordinator. the Public Sector Commission to ensure timely management and reporting of all instances of misconduct in line with the Commission's Conduct and Performance Excellence (CaPE) framework. Represent the department in significant forums relating to public sector integrity and ethics issues and contribute to the department's integrity framework by leading on key integrity initiatives and effectively responding to government integrity and accountability reforms. Identify systemic issues arising from the review of investigation reports and recommend strategies to address them. Provide leadership and direction to the Ethical Standards team by promoting and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing while overseeing the operation programs of work within the integrity framework Maintain and comply with the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct including maintaining confidentiality of files and information relating to workplace investigations. Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples * Promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the implementation of management practices, policies and procedures, including achievement planning and equal employment/anti-discrimination .
