About the role As a Support Worker, this is your opportunity to provide effective day to day operations of The Waterhole (community drop-in centre) based in Alice Springs, NT. This role will also engage with other TSA services, local community agencies, internal and external suppliers, and community members for the purpose of meeting the mission of The Salvation Army in Central Australia. Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent, part-time postion based in Alice Springs, NT. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 2. How you will make an impact Ensure The Waterhole is kept in a clean, and tidy condition. Ensure The Waterhole is a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. Ensure that the laundry and shower facilities operate effectively and are kept in a clean and tidy condition as per policy and procedure. All Waterhole users are treated equally. Provide support to other team members, as needed. What you will bring Self-motivated and shows a high level of initiative. Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language and knowledge of Local Aboriginal Communities and Culture. Demonstrated previous experience working in a similar role. A Working with Children (Ochre Card) Vulnerable people check is required A National police Record Check.
