Cutover and Environment Manager This is a critical project role responsible for managing all cutover activities across various environments. You'll coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure a new D365 ERP system successfully moves into production with minimal disruption to business operations. This role is responsible for all aspects of the project cutover, including planning, rehearsals, execution, and monitoring. Key Responsibilities Cutover Plan Management Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive cutover plan that includes all technical, business, and operational activities required for go-live. The plan must detail timelines, dependencies, resources, sequencing, priorities, and success criteria. Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to align on objectives, timelines, and dependencies. Identify and manage cutover-related risks, issues, and mitigation strategies. Ensure that roll-back plans are integrated into the cutover plan. Monitor and prepare summary reports on cutover progress, results, and issues. Cutover Execution Coordinate the overall deployment schedule and manage related cutover activities to connect all parties involved. Organize mock cutovers, rehearsals, and dry runs to validate readiness. Ensure all pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities are planned, communicated, and executed effectively. Establish and manage a cutover command center , including decision-making protocols and escalation processes. Manage issues by tracking, prioritizing, and working with project teams to resolve them. Provide clear and timely status updates to stakeholders throughout the cutover period. Conduct post-cutover reviews to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement. Ensure stabilization and promptly address any post-cutover issues with the Hypercare team. Environment Coordination Collaborate with the environment management team to ensure test, pre-production, and production environments are established as part of the cutover plan. Support governance and environment release management processes. Quality Management Work closely with the Test Manager to ensure test environments are configured and maintained to support effective testing. Play a leading role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the solution, as well as the cutover and environment management plans. Qualifications & Experience Experienced Cutover Manager who has successfully led cutovers on three or more large-scale ERP projects. Excellent project management skills, including detailed planning, organising, and executing complex cutover activities. You are a proactive problem solver and solution-oriented. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead through influence. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A technical background with intricate knowledge of technical risks is essential. Good understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud principles. Experience with large enterprise SAP or D365 F&O systems is essential.
