The Opportunity This is a non-ongoing 12-month contract with the potential to become permanent, as it is a vacant position. The Role Key responsibilities include: Managing month-end processes such as general ledger reconciliations, accruals, salary allocation journals, and credit card file uploads Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, and supporting the year-end audit Preparing monthly and quarterly executive management reports. Contributing to the preparation of the internal budget Supporting tax compliance functions, including preparing monthly BAS, FBT returns, and other reports as needed The Ideal Person The ideal candidate will be an experienced financial or tax accountant with strong financial reporting skills and advanced Excel capabilities. Good communication skills, including the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, are essential. You should also have the ability to analyse and interpret complex information and provide sound advice. Proficiency in TechOne and CBMS are preferred but not required, along with demonstrated experience using financial systems. You are likely to come from one of three backgrounds: Experience in a Big 4 or other chartered accounting firms at the Accountant or Senior Accountant level; or as a senior financial auditor Previous or current experience in federal government at the APS6 level, with expertise in financial reporting and strong Excel skills Experience in a large commercial or non-profit organisation as a corporate accountant or senior accountant Salary / Rate $96k - $105k 15.4% Super Non-ongoing 12-month contract with a view to permanency How to Apply To apply online, please click on the appropriate link.
