About the Role: We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our growing team. This role will focus on preparing and delivering high-quality meals while ensuring efficient kitchen operations and compliance with food safety standards. Key Duties: Develop and plan menus, considering customer demand and seasonal produce. Estimate food and labour costs and arrange the ordering of supplies. Monitor food quality through all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation. Work collaboratively with management, dietitians, and service staff regarding menu adjustments and dietary requirements. Demonstrate techniques and provide training to junior kitchen staff. Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes to high standards. Ensure strict compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations. Assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of kitchen staff. Preserve and store foods, including freezing, to reduce waste. Skills and Qualifications Required: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. Proven expertise in Indian cuisine. Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.
