Job Description Join the buzz of working at the airport and join Accor's food and beverage operation at the Qantas Lounges Brisbane Reporting to our Executive Chef, you will work with our large, vibrant group of experienced culinary professional at the Qantas Lounges Brisbane. This role will include working at both the domestic and international airport lounges. This permanent part-time role is an ongoing 4-5 day week position. Rosters can include 3.30-11.30am morning shifts and 11.30-7.30pm evening. Flexibility required if flight delays, weather conditions impact airport operations. As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of the kitchen brigade, crafting culinary excellence – Preparing dishes with precision, following recipes and maintaining portion control to create flavors that impress. What you’ll be doing: Food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner buffet service, our front of house bakery experience and a la carte dining service. Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards. Ensuring strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained. Keeping all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Ensuring all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards. Checking all food is stored and handled correctly as per current food health and hygiene regulations. Monitor daily kitchen food and product requirements and advise the supervisor of these well in advance.
