Description As a senior member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for the tax compliance work for all ANZ legal entities including Income tax, GST, FBT, Payroll tax, Withholding tax, and Thin Capitalization. Work closely with other Finance team members and internal departments, DLL Group Tax, Rabobank Australia Tax team, Tax advisors and auditors to ensure all company tax obligations are met. Keep up to date with tax regulation changes and provide tax advisory assistance to the business on new transactions. This role reports to the Head of Finance ANZ, and the role has one direct report. Responsibilities Review monthly PAYG payments, quarterly income tax provisions including forecast analysis for all legal entities. Review income tax return and schedules in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with external and internal deadlines. Review monthly GST return payroll tax returns for all legal entities & annual payroll tax reconciliation for all states. Review annual FBT return including collection of declaration forms and expense analysis. Complete all Group Tax Internal Tax Compliance requirements including GTTER reconciliations and Compliance attestations. Develop Tax Control Framework by updating Tax Manuals, tax control testing. Review annual GST apportionment calculations. Coordinate testing on tax reports, tax data from Leasing and financing systems. Preparation of Transfer pricing documentation for ANZ entities. Including Country by Country reporting filing requirements. Developing partnership with DLL Group Tax, Rabo Tax, Tax auditors, Tax authorities and manage tax audits for ANZ entities. Provide tax training to other Finance team members and Business Units. Provide tax advisory assistance to business for new transactions or changes to existing agreements. Stay up to date with all developments and changes in ANZ tax landscape and provide assessment of change and recommend to business. Other duties as required, including improve tax compliance workpapers, benefit tests, and other tax projects. Qualifications Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CA qualified/part qualified. Minimum of 10 years tax experience desired, either from a major public accounting firm or a large corporation. Leasing or Financial services industry experience preferred. Prior experience with GST and income tax preparation is required. Strong communication skills, able to communicate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Prepared to be hands on completing returns and schedules, but also be sufficiently skilled to provide advisory, tax planning and analytical tasks. Ability to work independently and in a team.
