Primary Purpose “Develop deep commercial relationships with key stakeholders (Employers and Industry bodies) to continue to grow Rest and deliver effective workplace strategies to advise, educate and engage members.” Your Purpose In this 15 Month Fixed Term Contract, the Senior Financial Adviser (Authorised Representative), will be accountable for the provision of high-quality superannuation, insurance and retirement advice to Rest members and their families. This will include both intra and non-intra fund advice, within the scope of the advice service proposition and regulatory framework and your authorisation as provided to you by MUFG Pty Ltd. The engagement with members may be phone based, via a video-based service or face to face, and will encompass service from the initial member engagement, through the preparation and provision of the advice, and in some cases, assisting with the implementation of the advice. You will be able to create a positive member experience by quickly establishing rapport and personalising the service provided to Rest members. Interaction with Rest members may be via inbound enquiries from Rest members, Rest seminars, or through proactive campaigns in conjunction with other areas of the business. The role will require the individual to participate in regular training to keep up-to-date with legislation, industry changes, new strategies and product changes or enhancements This role requires understanding of the financial planning process in relation to both the provision of intra-fund advice and the need to expand the advice scope beyond this. The outcome is the provision of quality, compliant advice in the best interest of Members. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities Provide high quality intra-fund and non intra-fund advice to Rest members within the scope of the advice services proposition and regulatory framework Identify the member’s financial planning needs and provide the right level of service accordingly Engage members via phone, webchat or video conference for the advice discussion and implementation. Face to face advice is provided where practical. Attend employer work sites for face to face advice when required Act in the best interest of the member in the provision of advice Complete Statements of Advice in relation to the advice provided, and assist in the implementation of the advice with the Rest member as required Comply with the administration and record keeping obligations when providing financial advice Understand and comply with the requirements of our AFSL as outlined in the Rest Financial Planner Manual Participate in proactive outbound campaigns on designated advice topics in conjunction with other internal business units Learn and operate the Rest advice technology solution and identify opportunities for enhancement Participate in regular training and keep up to date with legislation, industry changes, and new strategies and product changes/enhancements Support the activities of the various teams within the Member division in promoting advice services offered by Rest and assist as required in promotional and networking opportunities Mentor and support Financial Advisers & Associate Advisers as required
