THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our professional team at our Bunbury location. As the first point of contact for patients and referrers, your role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day operations. What You'll Do Welcome patients and manage front-desk responsibilities in a professional and empathetic manner Answer telephone enquiries and respond efficiently and sensitively to patient needs Schedule patient appointments and determine examination requirements Communicate preparation instructions, procedure costs, and billing information clearly to patients Register patients, manage paperwork, and handle billing and EFTPOS transactions Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of reports Perform Medicare and Veterans Affairs claims batching Support other administrative tasks as directed by management What We're Looking For Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role Familiarity with patient booking and entry systems (RIS experience highly regarded) Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially in imaging High level of professionalism, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities Accuracy in data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office and practice software Cash handling and EFTPOS experience Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Willingness to work across multiple sites if required Why Join Apex Radiology?
