About the Role Join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art facilities in the Yarra Valley and contribute to the creation of our exceptional sparkling wines. As a Vintage Cellar Hand, you'll play a vital role in all aspects of cellar operations during the crucial harvest period. We are seeking individuals who demonstrate a commitment to high-quality work, possess exceptional attention to detail, and have the physical capability to handle the demands of the role. You will leverage your strong work ethic to safely and precisely execute our operating procedures, undertaking a variety of responsibilities that may include: · Grape receival, pressing, and flotation · Fermentation monitoring and additions · Tank racking & transfers, and barrel management · Maintaining strict adherence to our cellar safety and hygiene protocols We have two start dates available for these casual positions, one in early January and the other in mid/late January. Each position will last for approximately 8 to 10 weeks from the individual's start date. Successful candidates must be available to workday, afternoon, and night shifts. Key Criteria To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must: • Demonstrate a strong commitment to adhering to our rigorous Health and Safety practices and procedures • Be willing and able to perform physically demanding work • Be available to workday, afternoon, and night shifts at our Coldstream or remote vineyard sites (occasional weekly stays at our Whitlands or Strathbogie vineyards may be required) • Reside, or be able to temporarily reside, in Victoria for the duration of the harvest • Possess an attentive and efficient work style, coupled with enthusiasm, strong teamwork skills, and excellent communication abilities • Have the right to work in Australia until at least the end of April 2026 • Possess reliable transportation to travel to and from work • Be willing to undergo a physical and medical assessment relevant to the position's tasks The following qualifications/experience will be highly regarded: • Previous experience as a Cellar Hand or in a winery/vineyard environment. • Completed or partially completed qualifications in Winemaking or Viticulture. • Certifications in forklift operations, HR truck license, or confined space training.
