The Home Hotel is a historical, family-oriented pub located next to the Warburton Trail in Launching Place within the beautiful Yarra Valley. The Casual Chef is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals in line with venue standards. This role supports the kitchen team in maintaining a safe, efficient and professional working environment while ensuring excellent food quality and consistency. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present menu items to a consistently high standard. Assist with daily kitchen operations, including stock rotation and food storage. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, equipment and utensils. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth and timely service. Requirements Trade Certificate (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent). Proven experience working as a Chef in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. Strong food preparation, cooking and plating skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays. Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Strong teamwork, communication and time management skills.
