Working as the back-to-back and reporting to the Site HR Manager, this is newly created role will help support site growth and lead the site HR function in the managers absence, this includes, . Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards while maintaining accurate HR records and data for effective reporting and analysis. Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training and retention programs, supporting and coaching hiring managers. Providing guidance on and lead disciplinary matters, performance management, and workplace investigations. Supporting camp management efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives and analysis. Partnering with site leadership to manage workforce planning, rosters, and succession planning. Providing coaching and mentoring to frontline leaders, supervisors, and team members to support leadership development and employee growth Supporting the implementation and communication of company policies and procedures. Fostering a high-performance culture, and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Enabling the successful sitewide implementation and roll out (including training and change management) of SAP Success factors Profile Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong track record working in a site-based HR position in mining or a related industry. In addition to this they will be able to demonstrate most (preferably all) of the following possess the following: Tertiary qualifications. Experience in remote or developing countries, particularly Papua New Guinea. Strong track record with performance management and disciplinary matter. Experience in or exposure to enabling and embedding change associated with ERP implementations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to provide solutions. Ability to work across different cultures. Strong resilience and ability to work in a face paced environment.
