Your new opportunity Join Queensland Treasury as the Director, People and Culture, and play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce strategies that drive the success of a central agency dedicated to growing Queensland's economy. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you'll lead a team of approximately 20 professionals across key HR functions, including business partnering, employee and industrial relations, recruitment, and health, safety, and wellbeing. This is your chance to make a real difference by delivering innovative, client-focused HR services and fostering a high-performance culture that supports Treasury's strategic goal In this role, you will: - Provide leadership and operational management to teams delivering a diverserange of HR services.- Offer expert advice to clients, stakeholders, and peers on complex peoplemanagement issues.- Contribute to the strategic direction, partnerships, and service delivery models for the People and Culture branch.- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance workforce initiatives.- Lead the development and implementation of Treasury's Strategic Workforce Plan.- Champion a performance culture, using a coaching approach to develop team capabilities and enhance client-focused services. What experience you will bring: - Proven ability to lead teams delivering diverse HR services, with strong prioritisation, collaboration, and resource-sharing skills to meet agency and client needs.- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in human resource management, including strategic initiatives and complex advisory services, ideally within the Queensland public service.- Strong engagement skills with executive leaders and stakeholders to drive organisation-wide initiatives, negotiate strategic outcomes, and resolve sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
