Infrastructure Portfolio Director A large Queensland Government department is seeking an experienced senior leader to take on the role of Infrastructure Portfolio Director. This position provides high-level leadership and oversight across business services, information management, and infrastructure portfolio management functions, supporting the delivery of a $100M program of works. Key Responsibilities: Lead multidisciplinary teams across business services, procurement, finance, HR, governance, and information management. Oversee construction scheduling, asset management, and budget management for a large and complex infrastructure portfolio. Provide high-quality reports, briefing notes, and business cases to senior executives and stakeholders. Drive governance, auditing, and reporting processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and accountability. Embed project management principles into high-volume, high-value programs and foster continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across government and external partners to ensure alignment and delivery success. Lead change initiatives, including implementing new information management systems and reporting tools. Skills & Experience: Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary business and corporate services teams, ideally within construction or project delivery environments. Strong knowledge of infrastructure, asset management, financial planning, procurement, and lifecycle maintenance programs. Exceptional communication, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent the organisation at senior levels. Proven ability to manage information systems, governance frameworks, and organisational reporting requirements. High-level organisational and time management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities under pressure. Formal qualifications in business, project management, construction management, or related fields are desirable.
