In this role you will:- Provide leadership and direction to the Digital Services team in strategic activities such as strategic ICT planning.- Build and maintain enduring stakeholder partnerships that enable collaborative delivery of customer-focussed digital outcomes through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure key internal and external stakeholders continue to be engaged, informed, and educated.- Lead the development and implementation of the department's strategic ICT plan, digital governance frameworks, policies, strategies to advance thedepartment's and Queensland Government's digital priorities.- Drive whole of department technology outcomes actively supporting and participating as a member of the Digital and Information Steering Committee and Digital and Information Working Group.- Provide strategic and technical expertise and advice to the business in the design, review, development and documentation of departmental information management, asset management, open data and Information Security Management System policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and practices comply withQueensland Government guidelines and other relevant standards and compliance obligations and lead initiatives to address areas of improvement in a consultative and collaborative manner that meets the needs of the business- Monitor and manage ICT risk, corporate reporting, and governance frameworks by working collaboratively with executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for DSROPG and guiding and prioritising service and asset investment to mitigate service/product risks.- Builds collegiate relationships with executive management team, internal and external service providers to promote continuous service improvement across theICT portfolio and provide assurance to the senior leadership team in prioritising service and asset investment, ICT Governance, risks, service continuity, information management practices and compliance.- Manage the relationship and effective delivery of services offered and delivered by Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Information Technology Partners to ensure ICT service offerings meet the requirements of DSROPG business and strive for mutually beneficial outcomes.- In collaboration with DSROPG business areas, DPI Information Technology Partners and other key internal and external stakeholders, plan to ensure all system backups, disaster recovery, business continuity and network security plans and documentation are in place and are relevant to our business requirements.- Represent the department and partner agencies in whole of government digital forums and interjurisdictional activities, in support of the department and Queensland Government achieving its digital transformation objectives.- Recognise and advocate for potential opportunities of ICT and initiate investigation and development of innovative and strategic approaches in the utilisation of emerging technology and digital opportunities to drive improvements and benefits for the department.- Influence departmental culture and practice to ensure key ICT governance and assurance activities and principles are integrated into the business, both strategically and operationally by actively partnering with business in the provision of strategic advice, guidance, planning and delivery whilst effectively managing expectations.- Demonstrated highly developed communication, interpersonal, presentation and consultation skills, with the ability to negotiate and initiate and influence relationships with and between key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
