Role Overview The Project Manager will lead delivery of four discrete pieces of work within the department’s grant management system . This role requires a strong balance of technical project oversight and stakeholder engagement, working closely with the system vendor, internal business units, and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver project plans for four system workstreams. Act as the conduit between vendor and business stakeholders , ensuring clear communication and issue resolution. Identify and secure resources required to deliver project outcomes. Prepare and present updates to the steering committee and senior leadership. Engage across the department. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting with strong commercial acumen. Provide project leadership, ensuring risks are managed and outcomes are achieved within scope, time, and budget. Candidate Profile Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in ICT system enhancement or implementation projects (ideally grant management, CRM, or SaaS platforms). Proven ability to liaise between vendors and business stakeholders, translating technical requirements into business outcomes. Strong stakeholder management across all organisational levels, including executives and non-technical users. High level of financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and project resourcing. Strong leadership and communication skills, able to influence, negotiate, and drive delivery. Experience working in Queensland Government or a similar complex, regulated environment (highly regarded).
