About the Team Lifetime Learner Experience (LLE) Unit is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Students portfolio and was formed in 2021 to enable the alignment of a range of learner acquisition, administration and assurance activities which are critical to the success of the UTS 2027 Strategy and in supporting the UTS Vision. The LLE Unit consists of three (3) functions: • Future Learners – approx. 100 FTE• Current Learners – approx. 100 FTE• Operations – approx 25 FTE (excludes casuals) The Admissions Team is situated in the Future Learners space and manages direct and indirect admission and application processes related to the following domestic and onshore international future learners: • Undergraduate• Postgraduate• Online Program Management (OPM)• Cross Institutional• Non-Award• Honours• Deferrals• Offer by Invitation• Internal course transfers (continuing) About the Role The Officer, Admissions is responsible for the completion of tasks to support the Student Management team in the effective and compliant administration of student admissions activities to enable strategies to achieve the university’s load planning targets. This role is pivotal in maintaining exceptional operational and customer service standards. Main duties/responsibilities: • Provide accurate, timely, client focused advice to enquiries (telephone, email, face to face) from a range of internal and external stakeholders• Problem solving and making decisions based on admissions policies and procedures, and identifying when to refer enquiries that need escalation• Processing applications and supporting documents for Admissions within designated turnaround• Assessing eligibility for admission to UTS courses, including evaluation of qualifications and English language proficiency Main skills/experience: • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and the ability to deliver high quality client-focussed services• Commitment to providing accurate and timely information• Demonstrated ability to use technology with a high level of accuracy, applying attention to detail and being able to troubleshoot problems• Ability to sustain and maintain levels of concentration in a large volume processing environment to ensure accuracy• Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication Remuneration Base Salary Range: $83,906- $95,989 pa (HEW 5) This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 8 months.
