About Our Client: Our client is a well established felt and fibre products manufacturer, producing air conditioning ducting for commercial and industrial applications. About the Role: You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, preventative maintenance, and repair of workshop machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth production. The role involves a mix of routine servicing, troubleshooting, and occasional welding/fabrication work to repair or modify parts. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns promptly Weld and repair shafts or other metal components as required Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on machine condition Utilise spare parts inventory effectively for repairs Work closely with production staff to minimise interruptions to workflow About You: Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, fitting, or workshop repairs Welding skills (basic to intermediate) – MIG/TIG/ARC experience an advantage Ability to work with older machinery and adapt to non-standard systems Hands-on, problem-solving approach with good attention to detail Safety-focused and reliable Valid Drivers Licence and reliable transport Ability to pass a medical and DAS What’s in it for you?
