An exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategy Officer, with the flexibility to work from home Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Development, The Senior Strategy Officer – Policy and Projects plays a key role in advancing RRKAC’s long-term goals by driving strategic initiatives, shaping policy development, and supporting the delivery of high-impact, community-aligned projects. This role will lead the identification and coordination of cross-organisational opportunities, ensure strong alignment with RRKAC’s Strategic Plan, and develop strategic partnerships that amplify outcomes for the Robe River Kuruma People. The position requires a proactive and analytical thinker who brings strong strategic planning, policy insight, and project execution skills. The successful candidate will foster collaboration across RRKAC business units, governance structures, and external stakeholders to ensure initiatives are culturally grounded, community-driven, and strategically impactful. In partnership with the Manager, S&D, the Senior Strategy Officer will scope opportunities through agreements and partnerships with external stakeholders for the development of strategic projects that support RRK’s nation building aspirations aligned with the RRK Strategic Plan. The key responsibilities of this role will be; Lead the planning, execution, and management of strategic projects, ensuring an outcomes-driven approach from initiation to completion. Support the organisation in developing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that address key strategic pillars, ensuring measurable positive change. Assist in preparing grant and funding submissions while overseeing data entry and accuracy within RRKAC’s grant management system. Design and implement monitoring frameworks to assess project performance, social outcomes, and impact measures. Collect, analyse, and interpret data to communicate RRK Group’s social impact effectively Contribute to the continuous improvement of impact measurement methodologies. Identify opportunities to enhance project efficiency, community engagement, and social impact effectiveness. Monitor external legislative, regulatory, and policy changes, and assess their implications for RRK People, RRKAC’s operations, and strategic direction. Draft and support the delivery of position statements, submissions, and advocacy materials on key issues affecting RRK People Provide high-level, evidence-based policy advice to the Executive, Board, and Trust entities to support informed decision-making on matters impacting the RRK People Maintain and update the Strategic Projects Register to ensure accurate documentation of active, planned, and proposed initiatives. Provide monthly reports and strategic insights to the Executive and key managers to guide decision-making and resource prioritisation. Recommend strategies to consolidate projects and optimise alignment with RRKAC’s long-term goals, ensuring cultural appropriateness and community-driven development. To be successful in this role you will have; Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Policy, Community Development, etc.). 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate research into practical project design. Ability to proactively identify innovative solutions and think critically. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in impact measurement and evaluation frameworks (e.g., Social Return on Investment, Theory of Change).
