Accounts Officer Full-time | Gold Coast | $80k–$90k super Sweep Marine is looking for a motivated and experienced Accounts Officer (Accountant or Bookkeeper) to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 3–4 years’ experience in a similar position who can hit the ground running and enjoys being part of a tight-knit, social workplace. As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end accounts, payroll, compliance, and reporting functions, while also providing support across HR and administration. With a team of 25 staff (13 in the office and 11 permanent subcontractors), this role offers plenty of variety and the chance to make a real impact. Key Duties and Responsibilities Accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations and debt collection End-to-end weekly payroll processing (STP, superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax) BAS, GST, month-end, and EOFY reporting Maintaining insurance, licences, and registrations Supporting audits with accurate financial records HR administration including onboarding and employee record management Assisting with IT troubleshooting and general office support A Successful Candidate 3–4 years’ experience in an accounts officer, bookkeeper, or similar role Proficiency in accounting systems (Xero preferred) and Google Workspace Strong technical accounting knowledge and payroll experience Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality A genuine team player who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves Comfortable with computers and able to handle basic IT troubleshooting Someone who will thrive in a younger, dynamic team environment (most staff are late 20s–30s) Why Sweep Marine?
