The key duties of the position include DCCEEW is seeking a dynamic, innovative and experienced digital leader to manage the ICT Business Solutions and Security Branch. The Branch Head will report to the Chief Information Officer and contribute to the broader strategic leadership of the Information Communications Technology Division and department. The position is currently based in Canberra with travel required at times. The Branch Head, ICT Business Solutions and Security Branch is responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of secure, modern and user-focused ICT services the enable the department to achieve its strategic objectives. The role provides executive leadership across the following key areas: Cyber Security : Overseeing cyber security operations and strategy, including incident response, vulnerability management, identity and access controls, and governance to protect departmental systems and data. Business Applications & System s: Providing operational support for business applications and corporate systems, coordinating vendors, and ensuring seamless transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations. Enterprise Platforms : Managing integrating enterprise platforms, developing scalable, secure, and interoperable digital services through collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Data & Automation: Delivering data, assurance, testing and automation capabilities, including DevOps pipelines, centralised testing, database administration, analytics, and AI solutions to drive quality, efficiency, and innovation. ICT Project Delivery : Designing and delivering ICT projects, enhancements, and proofs of concept to build future-ready systems aligned with departmental priorities and sustainability goals. Digital Innovation : Providing executive leadership across the delivery of innovative, user-focused digital products and services that align with organisational objectives. Leadership & Culture : Modelling and providing workplace, health and safety and supporting high performance in complex operational environments.
