The Opportunity We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Technical Business Analysts from Canberra or relocating to Canberra, interested in upcoming Federal Government opportunities. The Role As a Technical Business Analyst, you will: Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements Work closely with solution architects, developers, and testers to translate requirements into system functionality Map business processes and identify areas for improvement or automation Develop functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria Facilitate workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders Support system integration, testing, and implementation activities Ensure alignment with agency standards, compliance, and security requirements The Ideal Person You’re an experienced Business Analyst who thrives in structured, Agile environments and has strong technical knowledge across ICT projects. You’re comfortable bridging the gap between business and technology teams and producing clear, actionable documentation. You’ll bring: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex ICT programs (federal government preferred) Strong background in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, DevOps) Understanding of system integration, data migration, or modernisation projects Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering quality outcomes It’s a bonus if you have: Experience in cyber, data, or enterprise system modernisation projects BABOK or IIBA certifications Prior experience in secure government environments Please note this opportunity is only open to Australian Citizen’s with minimum Baseline Clearance as per the requirement of the Federal Government.
