The Opportunity We are seeking skilled management accountants professionals and Finance Business Partners to support opportunities within Federal Government agencies. Whether you are currently in the APS, transitioning from consulting, or moving from the private sector into Federal Government, the initial engagement may be offered as either a salaried non-ongoing role or an hourly rate contract, with potential for permanency. The Role As a management accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting senior leaders to make informed financial decisions. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the team in managing BAU and project budgets, tracking expenditure, and reporting variances Assisting in the development and improvement of budget management, forecasting, and reporting processes Preparing regular, clear, and insightful financial reports and advice for executives and stakeholders Providing high-quality financial analysis to inform decision-making and ensure cost control Maintain effective relationships with Project Managers, Finance Business Partners, and Reporting teams Ensuring compliance with organisational financial policies, governance requirements, and internal controls The Ideal Person You have minimum three years’ experience in financial reporting and budget management (Big 4, consulting, or federal government) You are a clear communicator who enjoys working with others to kick goals You are known for high attention to detail in your work and take pride in getting the job done to a high standard and on time Relevant degree qualifications are essential with a CA/CPA or working towards desirable Salary / Rate $85k - $110k Super 6-to-12-month contract with possibility of extension and view to permanency; or s26 transfer for existing APS employees How to Apply To apply online, please click on the appropriate link.
