About the Role Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Location: Gold Coast Life Without Barriers is proud to deliver the new Staying on Track program, part of the Queensland Government’s Making Queensland Safe plan. Staying on Track supports young people aged 10–17 leaving youth detention to successfully return to their families and communities. As a Program Assistant , you will play a key role in supporting the Program Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of services. This includes managing referrals, maintaining client data, assisting with service reviews, completing administrative tasks, and providing active support to staff and families. You will also contribute to fostering a positive team environment and promote the work of Life Without Barriers in line with our values. Skills & Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, or related fields and/or experience. Experience building strong relationships with young people, families, and community stakeholders. Strong administrative and organisational skills, including database management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support staff and model positive team culture. Ability to maintain service user privacy and confidentiality. Problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Current Driver Licence. Current Provide First Aid Certificate. Highly Regarded: Experience in Out of Home Care, Youth Justice, community services, or working with young people and families within culturally diverse communities. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, Queensland Blue Card Working with Children Check, and LCS Check.
