About the Role As our People & Culture Coordinator (systems & administration focussed), you’ll play a key role in shaping the team member experience at The Commons. This role focuses on bringing structure and clarity to our HR operations ensuring systems run smoothly and supporting a thriving, people-first culture. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you’ll be instrumental in implementing and maintaining our HRIS, supporting compliance and administrative processes, and enhancing the everyday experience for our team members. About You We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People & Culture Coordinator with a strong focus on people systems and administration to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys systems, structure, and process improvement while contributing to a people-first, fast-paced workplace. You’ll collaborate closely with the People & Culture Manager and cross-functional teams to enhance systems, streamline processes, and elevate team member engagement. What You’ll Be Doing HRIS Implementation & Maintenance Coordinate data cleansing, migration and validation Support user testing, training rollouts, and troubleshooting Create process documentation, user guides and onboarding materials Liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met People & Culture Operations & Administration Prepare contracts, letters and onboarding/offboarding documentation Maintain team member records and HR data in compliance with Fair Work and internal policy Provide day-to-day HR administrative support across the business Compliance Support interpretation and application of Modern Awards Contribute to HR audits, WHS documentation and award-based compliance Ensure internal HR documentation is up to date and accessible Culture & Engagement Support Help coordinate the administrative tasks supporting team events, communications, and performance reviews Contribute to team member engagement and culture-building initiatives What We’re Looking For 3 years in a generalist HR administration or coordinator role Experience with HRIS systems – implementation or administration Knowledge of Fair Work and Award interpretation (especially in retail/hospitality) Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communicator with a warm, collaborative approach Previous experience in coworking, retail, hospitality, fitness or creative industries (a bonus!)
