About the Role: Our State Government client is seeking an experienced AO5 / AO6 Auditors to join the team on a temporary basis. Based in Brisbane CBD and starting in late September / early October, the roles will be for offered for 3 to 6 months initially with potential to extend. Working 36.25 hours per week, the role will pay a casual hourly rate of $66.86 for the AO5 and $76.50 for the AO6. In the role, you will contribute across all phases of the audit process — scoping, fieldwork, analysis, and reporting. You will coordinate with team members and stakeholders, and ensure work is completed in line with set audit methodologies and professional standards. You’ll help identify key audit issues, review documentation for quality and accuracy, and contribute to reporting. Requirements: We are looking for capable auditors who bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and professional judgement to their work. Experience in valuations, internal audit or analysis (data, policy, financial or program-based); Experience in applying audit and assurance methodologies and accounting standards; Ability to identify and resolve audit issues and contribute to insightful client reporting; Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare audit reports; Collaborative working style and adaptability in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment; Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. accountancy, commerce, business, public administration); and Experience in the public sector or professional services is advantageous.
