With space for up to 5,000 patrons and a rapidly growing calendar, SPCC is fast becoming the Inner West’s go-to destination for major events. About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Events Manager to take charge of our event program and sponsorships. Reporting directly to the Board, you’ll deliver large-scale events, secure and grow partnerships, and ensure every event leaves a lasting impact. What You’ll Do Plan and deliver cultural festivals, sporting fixtures & community activations (up to 5,000 patrons) Lead event logistics: catering, staging, AV, signage, permits, security & compliance Manage sponsorship relationships – and win new partners Design sponsorship activations that drive visibility & engagement Oversee budgets, ROI reporting, and risk planning Build strong links with council, suppliers, community groups & promoters What We’re Looking For 7 years in events, sponsorships, or venue management Track record running large-scale events (3,500–5,000 patrons) Strong sponsorship sales & relationship management skills Excellent project management & stakeholder engagement abilities Knowledge of licensed venue operations & compliance Background in multicultural festivals, football or martial arts (a plus!)
