About The Opportunity This client-facing role is central to shaping and expanding our People Advisory team in Sydney. You’ll take the lead in delivering projects from strategy through to execution, while actively contributing to the evolution of our tools, processes, and practices with fresh ideas and innovative thinking. Your work will help clients unlock value through their people, culture, and strategy. We’re seeking a seasoned consulting professional who has successfully led change management projects and brings experience across other People Advisory domains such as workforce transformation and planning, operating model review and design, learning and development, and/or culture and wellbeing. You’ll combine strategic insight with practical delivery to create meaningful, lasting impact for our clients. As a Senior Manager in our People Advisory team, you will: Lead the design, planning, and delivery of change management strategies and other People Advisory projects – ensuring exceptional client outcomes. Facilitate high-impact sessions with leaders, creating space for challenging conversations that drive alignment and decisions. Scope client needs, shape work plans, and develop proposals and go-to-market strategies, leveraging BDO’s capabilities. Bring fresh thinking and innovative approaches (e.g. user-centred design, behavioural science) to solve complex client challenges. Help shape our frameworks by contributing your expertise to develop and evolve BDO’s methods, tools, and ways of working. Drive projects end-to-end using structured, best-practice project management principles. About You Ideally you have over 8 years’ experience gained in professional services/consulting, you’re passionate about working with clients to help them address their challenges and keen to grow the practice. Your background includes leading projects in change management with broader experience and interest working across other areas in People Advisory, including workforce transformation/planning, operating model review/design, learning and development, and/or culture and wellbeing. To Ensure Continued Success, You’ll Need A strong internal drive, a growth mindset and aspirations for leadership opportunities An interest and ability to create and enhance frameworks, methods, and toolkits to support delivery of client engagements A genuine desire to mentor and support others and commitment to building capability within the team Confidence and maturity to build trusting relationships and facilitate consultations/workshops with senior leaders and Executives Strong time management skills to juggle competing priorities whilst effectively managing projects and leading teams to deliver Demonstrated experience leading change management projects, whether technology or other types of organisational change projects Domain expertise combined with sector specialisation to create bespoke solutions for clients with multifaceted requirements What We Will Offer You We know great work doesn’t always happen between 9 and 5 at a desk.
