Our work ensures clinicians have the accurate, up-to-date information they need to make critical decisions, while safeguarding privacy and compliance every step of the way. What your day as a Health Information Services Administrator will look like: Retrieving and delivering medical records to various departments for planned patient admissions and attendances complying with collection and delivery schedules Processing and collating medical records for discharged patients Creation of new medical records as well as maintenance and storage of records within prescribed timeframes Accurately filing records in main department and secondary storage areas Ensuring completion of documentation and updating of patient information where required using the patient database Key requirements of the role This isn’t your average desk job - it's active, rewarding, and full of variety. You’ll be moving between departments, handling physical records, and working closely with different teams across the hospital. You will also need to have: Certificate IV in Hospital Administration or Business Administration (desirable) Previous experience working with medical records or familiarity with medical terminology is a bonus, but not essential Team oriented approach - collaborative, dependable, and equally capable of working independently when required Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with a positive attitude that builds rapport across teams A keen eye for detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality Solid organisational, numeracy and literacy skills to support administrative efficiency We're offering casual shifts across weekdays, afternoons, weekends, and occasional public holidays (7.6 hours – 9 hours per shift) , with potential for permanent part-time opportunities down the line. You will need to be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week .
