About Us NSW Telco Authority delivers critical communications infrastructure for emergency and essential services across the state. We operate the Public Safety Network (PSN), support disaster response, and lead digital connectivity initiatives that keep communities safe and connected. Your Impact The Director, Risk, Compliance and Safety is accountable for safeguarding the people, assets, and operations of the NSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) by leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety, protective security, risk management, compliance, and business continuity frameworks. This role champions a proactive safety culture, ensuring that NSWTA provides a safe and secure working environment, meets all Work Health and Safety (WHS) obligations, and protects critical infrastructure and services. It includes managing organisational and strategic risk frameworks, the corporate risk register, and mitigation strategies to ensure risks are id entified, assessed, and effectively controlled. The Director drives organisational maturity by embedding safety, risk, and compliance into ways of working, strengthening resilience against threats and emergencies, and ensuring that all practices prioritise safety while meeting legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a strategic thinker with: Extensive experience in risk management, compliance, and safety leadership. Proven ability to influence at executive levels and lead cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory environments.
