About the Role Reporting to the Head of Brand Communications, you’ll be part of a close-knit team within our wider Communications and Corporate Affairs unit. This dynamic role spans both internal and external communications. As Communications Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering internal communication strategies that foster a connected, informed, and inspired workforce. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, People & Culture, and cross-functional teams to craft clear, consistent, and meaningful messaging that supports organisational change, builds engagement, and reinforces our mission and values. You’ll also contribute to external communications, helping amplify World Vision’s voice and impact through media, donor, and ambassador engagement. Key Responsibilities Internal Communications Develop and execute integrated internal communications plans. Curate and manage content across internal channels (intranet, town halls, video messages, leadership updates). Support CEO and senior leaders with speechwriting, presentations, and staff engagement messaging. Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce information overload and enhance employee experience. External Communications Contribute to media materials, donor communications, and ambassador messaging. Support broader Communications & Corporate Affairs initiatives. What We’re Looking For You’re a natural storyteller who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders. You bring: Proven 5 years’ experience in a comms, public relations or employee engagement role. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute internal communications strategies that drive engagement and alignment. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across a range of formats and audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and deadlines. Knowledge of media platforms like Meltwater and Telum. Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, email marketing tools, CMS, social media). Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organisation.
