The Company Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced tool and cutter grinding solutions, supplying high-performance equipment to precision manufacturing industries worldwide. They are seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join the team on a 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems for high-precision machinery, from component selection to cabinet layout and drafting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and production staff to ensure designs are cost-effective, reliable, and ready for manufacture. Work with manufacturing and service teams to support product deployment and troubleshooting. Apply functional safety standards, regulatory compliance, and best-practice design principles throughout the product lifecycle. Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation. Your Background / Experience Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related discipline). Proven experience in electrical cabinet design, electrical switchgear selection, and system integration. Proficiency with EPLAN or equivalent ECAD software. Strong knowledge of industrial automation, motion control, or high-precision machinery. Experience with EMC compliance, noise/spectrum analysis, and grounding strategies. Preferred: PLC programming (Codesys, safety PLCs), servo control system design, functional safety compliance. What’s On Offer?
