The Role As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will lead innovation and uphold excellence in electronics design across the entire product development lifecycle. Working within their highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams, you’ll guide their skilled electrical engineers in delivering exceptional products from concept to production, always maintaining rigorous quality standards. Your responsibilities will include project estimation, resource planning, and recruitment for their Australian Electronics Design Team. You’ll share your expertise through technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, conducting design reviews, and continuously enhancing their proven hardware engineering practices. Supported by the company’s leadership team, you’ll also pursue ongoing professional growth and development. Lead and contribute to electronic design and development projects, covering all phases from concept and feasibility through to schematic capture, PCB layout, verification, testing, and manufacturing. Serve as a product lead and subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance to clients and internal project teams. Support the growth of the hardware team by enhancing your own technical capabilities and mentoring junior engineers. Ensure all deliverables meet the company’s quality management standards. Accurately estimate current and future workloads for the hardware team to support planning and resource allocation. Conduct thorough technical reviews of hardware designs and documentation to maintain high engineering standards. Act as the primary technical contact for clients and project managers on all electronics design-related matters. Drive continuous improvement in hardware design processes, tools, systems, and documentation. About You 7 years in electronics Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid long-term working visa Hold a relevant degree or above (e.g. Bachelor of Electronics Engineering) Registered as a professional engineer in Victoria (if based in the state) Demonstratable ability across both analogue and digital circuit design Proficiency in Altium schematic capture and PCB layout Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Benefits A modern, inner city Melbourne office Good public transport connections and accessibility Flexible work pattern offering work from home for part of the week Highly collaborative team environment The opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects.
