Harness Racing SA Ltd (HRSA) is the peak governing body for the sport of harness racing in South Australia. Governed by seven directors, HRSA ensures the highest standards of professionalism within the industry, as well as the wellbeing and welfare of horses and acts as a voice for harness racing across the state. The South Australian harness racing industry enjoys strong, healthy competition and exciting racing events at its metropolitan venue Globe Derby Park and five country venues that stretch from Port Pirie in the state’s mid-north to picturesque Victor Harbor in the south and Mount Gambier in the south-east. More than 2,000 drivers, trainers, stable hands and owners are the lifeblood of harness racing in South Australia. Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified persons with experience in relevant specialist fields. Responsibilities include: - Attending and making significant contributions to monthly Board meetings; Participating in special purpose sub committees; Providing your expertise in the Board’s decision making; Identifying and developing initiatives designed to add value to the harness racing industry; Reviewing all activities and performance of management; Ensuring that decisions made reflect and enhance the organisation’s Strategic Plan.
