This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women recovering from experiences of human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices. About the role As a Case Manager , you will provide holistic, person-centred and trauma-informed support to women in our Safe House program. You will work closely with residents to ensure their safety, support recovery, and foster long-term independence. Reporting to Program Manager, this is a full-time permanent role based in Inner east Sydney, NSW. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Level 5. Due to the nature of this service, to identify as a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s.31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) How you will make an impact Offer appropriate and high-quality support to women impacted by modern slavery, using a client-centred and trauma-informed approach. Effectively manage a caseload as allocated by the Program Manager. Conduct ongoing assessments of each client’s needs, issues, and circumstances, from initial referral through to exit. Develop individual case plans in collaboration with clients that include a range of tailored interventions aligned with their goals. Support clients to navigate support systems, access services and community networks, and advocate on their behalf when required. Monitor and review case plans regularly to ensure they remain relevant to the client’s evolving needs. Maintain accurate, timely client records in line with organisational standards. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers to support positive client outcomes. Participate in the daily operations of the Safe House and share on-call responsibilities as rostered. What you will bring A degree in social work, welfare, community development or a related discipline, or extensive experience in a similar role. Experience working in a trauma-informed practice environment. A strong understanding of issues relating to gender-based violence, exploitation, or complex trauma. Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
