About the role We’re seeking a Concession Manager who will represent Transurban across a complex portfolio of assets which requires an understanding of contractual arrangements, stakeholder management, safety, risk and compliance management and motorway infrastructure. You’ll join an innovative team, who support the interface between the WestConnex (WCX) assets and internal and external stakeholders, including Transport for NSW, in relation to concession management. The role has primary responsibility for managing the day-to-day compliance and contractual correspondence for the WCX assets. As our Concession Manager, you’ll contribute to meeting concession obligations in the development, governance and successful delivery of the WCX network’s program of road operations and maintenance activities, tolling and retail customer obligations and reporting. Day-to-day, you will: Manage the day-to-day correspondence (calls and emails) and matters with Transport for NSW for the WCX assets under the Project Deeds Prepare formal correspondence, as required, consistent with the contractual provisions and time frames Assist in ensuring each WCX asset complies with the obligations under the terms and conditions of the Project Deeds Support the General Manager of WCX and the Head of WCX with project management Document, track, and maintain contract obligations and deliverables and implement contract management processes and procedures Support the business in land and property matters pertaining to motorway leased land Ensure best practice governance of contracts and ensure appropriate governance is in place for all commercial projects Understand the strategy and priority setting in line with the broader enterprise Work with the public affairs, customer, operations and maintenance and commercial teams to respond to community complaints, ministerial queries and other assets queries Support the Customer Resolution and Linkt retail team with concession and general business matters This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: Tertiary qualifications in Legal, Commerce, or Business or other relevant discipline or several years’ experience in contract administration Experience managing and administering contracts, ideally in infrastructure or similar heavy industries Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with senior management, government stakeholders and internal stakeholders Ability to read and understand deeds and contracts and to take the initiative to seek timely advice on technical and operational perspectives Strong multitasking abilities with a proven track record in managing multiple issues across multiple assets Preferred commercial experience with an ability to see ‘bigger picture’ and identify issues that may impact operations Ability to achieve the right outcome in a constructive and collaborative environment with a ‘best for business’ approach If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
