We currently are looking for a permanent Testing and Commissioning Engineer with communication and control system specialization to join our Sydney team. Your role The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result oriented and proactive mindset. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with QR and Alten group, developing their engineering knowledge as a consultant. As a Test and Commissioning engineer you will working on the customer site or from QR premises you manage autonomously your project reporting to you Project Leader and Business Manager. You will be involved on challenging project to deliver the Communications system (COM) for different large project in Sydney. Your main responsibilities will be: Liaising with customer for T&C coordination on site activities. Interface with the final user team to ensure that our customer is meeting the expectations of the final user and its systems and to ensure alignment of commission and safety assurance goals and objectives. Perform physical troubleshooting of the systems installed on site Perform system tests and prepare the reports. Managing defects and tracking their resolution into customer internal tool Support the management team across all documentation deliverables and processes Support planning and scheduling of commissioning activities and workstream in an Agile context (JIRA) Other related duties as assigned Requirements 2-5 years of experience Relevant experience in communications system Knowledge in one of the following technologies (design, interface, and installation): Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) Public Address System (PAS) Hearing In The Loop Working with Communication systems Software integration CCTV Practical experience in system engineering, IVVQ and Test & Commissioning Able to read and understand wiring and electrical diagrams Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Familiar with Agile methodology and Jira tool Knowledge in Python and/or Shell scripting and/or other related programming language can be a plus.
