Australian Rail Tram and Bus Industry Union Job description The purpose of this role is to work alongside the Branch Secretary, providing support to the organising and campaigns objectives of the RTBU. This role takes a lead on digital and member communications, branch-related proactive and reactive media, and creates visual content through graphic design, member information bulletins, photography, and videography. This is a Full-Time position, based in the Head Office, Level 4, 321 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Experience Proven experience working with journalists and traditional media Qualification and/or relevant experience in communications, social media, and marketing Experience developing and implementing communications strategies Knowledge, skills and abilities Strong design skills, photo and video skills Strong communication skills, including demonstrated ability to create online and offline materials for different audiences Creativity and attention to detail A self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good IT skills, and experience with Adobe and/or Canva are desirable Proactive & enthusiastic approach to work A strong commitment to labour values A demonstrated understanding of Union organising and the Australian political landscape Driver’s licence required How to apply Please send resume and a cover letter via the form to rtbu-nsw.asn.au Applications close: 5:00 PM AEST, 31st Jul 2025
