Who We Are: Join one of Perth's most iconic venues at The University Club of Western Australia. We are seeking a part time Payroll and Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The Club is located on the banks of the Swan River on the heritage-listed campus of The University of Western Australia. Our team manages the Club, with over 4500 members, multiple function rooms, a fine dining restaurant and café, as well as University Theatres, who manage 7 theatre venues across the UWA campus. About the Role: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll / HR Coordinator to join our team. This is a permanent part time role (0.5 FTE) and hours can be mutually agreed, noting payroll is fortnightly with processing on Monday - Wednesday. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll function for 200 employees as well as providing HR support to both the Club and Theatres managers and employees. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Manage full-cycle payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation, multiple awards and common law contracts for 200 employees for the Club and Theatres workforce, Ensure timely lodgement of PAYG, STP, Super, Payroll Tax and WC contributions, Preparing month end journals, Reconcile payroll reports and address payroll related queries, Payroll systems administration (currently utilising Wage Easy and Time Target server systems), Ad hoc payroll reporting and analysis, Maintain employee records and leave entitlements aligned with contracts, Handle onboarding/offboarding of all employees, Payroll cloud system upgrade project, the position will have an important role to play in its development and transition. Human Resources Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, Maintaining HR policies and documentation, and Compliance checks and general HR enquiries. About You: Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with: Demonstrated experience in Payroll, Experience in the administrative functions of Human Resources, Experience managing a permanent and large casual workforce, including significant experience in the use of a time and attendance system and multiple awards, Understanding of payroll protocol and confidentiality, Ability to build relationships across the business, Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, Excellent organisational skills and time management, Excellent attention to detail, and Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Wage Easy and Time Target would be well regarded. In addition, experience with The Registered and Licenced Clubs Award, and Live Performance Award would be advantageous. Why Join Us?
