Business Analyst – eCommerce – Discovery & Design Phases – Initial 3-Month Extensions Our client is a very well-recognised company launching an exciting new initiative, with the creation of their new product on e-commerce marketplace. This is the perfect opportunity for a mid-to-senior level Business Analyst who thrives in greenfield projects and is confident in both technical and functional analysis. You’ll join the project during its 3-month discovery phase, with a high likelihood of extension into a 3-month design phase, with opportunity to lead into longer extensions afterwards. Your role will be central in uncovering requirements, assessing third-party integrations and supporting the design of an intuitive and future-proof digital platform. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Lead workshops to elicit and define business, functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborate with solution architects and delivery leads to ensure alignment with business goals. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify integration requirements with 3rd party vendors. Analyse existing processes and systems to determine opportunities and constraints. Assist in shaping the design phase by translating discovery insights into actionable design artefacts. The role will be Melbourne based offering a competitive daily rate, working in a hybrid WFH/office structure. The skills/experience needed will include but not be limited to: Strong Business Analysis experience, ideally within e-commerce or marketplace platforms. Proven experience working across the full SDLC on digital products. Strong technical and functional analysis capabilities. Previous exposure to 3rd party integrations (payment gateways, logistics or CRM platforms). Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
