Position OverviewAs an early Software Engineer at Huddled, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the development and delivery of our platform, directly contributing to the global evolution of student communication. Being a key part of our Product team, you’ll work to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that resonate with our users and support our growth goals. Key Responsibilities 1) Platform DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain key features of our student communication platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and ease of use.Develop in Svelte, TypeScript, Tailwind, Capacitor. 2) Collaboration and CommunicationWork closely with our growth team to understand user needs, provide technical insights, and bring product concepts to life. 3) Code Quality and TestingEnsure high code quality through effective testing, peer code reviews, and peer training. 4) DocumentationCreate and maintain clear documentation, including technical guides, API references, and user support assets. ExpectationsStrong programming skills with an understanding of scalable architecture.Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives within a fast-paced startup environment.Strong analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.Willing and able to learn by doingBased in Melbourne, available for a full-time Hybrid role starting in August 2025.Solid knowledge of Typescript, HTML, CSS, SQL Good to Have, but Not a RequirementExperience with cross-functional projects or managing aspects of the product life cycle.Experience in a early stage tech startup.Understand or experience with the following; Svelte, TypeScript, and Supabase, Tailwind, Capacitor, Azure, Posthog (or similar)Experience with native frameworks or languages CompensationThe Successful candidate will be remunerated with a starting salary of AU$ 67,200 (including super) and a generous equity package in order to give you meaningful ownership and say within Huddled and decisions made in the company.
