About the opportunity The Quality on the Floor Technician ensures system and process quality, compliance with company standards, in-process checks on packing lines, visual batch inspections using AQL, record review and approval, supports risk assessments, non-conformance investigations, change controls, and continuously monitors and improves quality performance metrics. Duties Review of process documentation for accuracy and clarity Complete in-process checks, sampling and inspection using AQL methodologies for Visual Inspection Responsible for product quality and compliance partnering with all teams within the site value streams regarding product quality aspects using structured processes Complete quality oversight of media fill inspections and In-process Checks for packing operations Conduct real-time GEMBA of visual inspection and packing processes to ensure continuous improvement in the manufacturing facility Provide quality guidance and initial point of contact for Quality escalations Conduct training for production as applicable Maintain local area gowning qualification Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences or Pharmaceutical Science Previous Pharmaceutical experience in either quality or manufacturing is ideal Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, QC or QA role Must be able to pass vision testing for inspections of products Good attitude and willingness to stay in the role Own car and licence are required for the rotating shift work roster Capable of making quality decisions based on Quality Risk Management Principles Culture Although a large, global company, they are able to provide a family-like culture and pride themselves in improving the lives of others.
